Action Canada is holding a free in-person public lecture, Reconciliation is a Climate Solution with Katlia (Catherine) Lafferty.

Katlia will explore modern treaty negotiations, Indigenous land rights, and past industry harms, focusing on Giant Mine She will also highlight the importance of integrating Indigenous storytelling into policy.

Katlia Lafferty is a Dene woman from Denedeh, Co-Learning Manager of RELAW program supporting Indigenous nations to bring their stories into law, and author of Northern Wildflower, land-Water-Sky/Nde-Ti-Yat'a, This House Is Not a Home, and Firekeeper.
