Maura Meng is an interdisciplinary artist whose ceramic work is both deliberately contemporary and authentically rustic. Each piece is shaped by curiosity, connection to the land, and a commitment to staying true to the moment in which it was created. Hands, often used as conduits for unseen forces in art, prayer and healing, reach from the beyond into our reality. Masks, usually worn to hide our feelings, are turned inside out, exposing the truth beneath.
