Public access to GN museum and archival collections has closed
In April 2017, the Government of Nunavut (GN) will transfer its museum and archival collections from the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, to the Canadian Museum of Nature in Gatineau, Quebec.
This is a major initiative involving the relocation of approximately 140,000 items. In order to help finish the transfer on schedule, public access to the GN museum and archival collections closes at 5 p.m. on December 16, 2016.
Descriptions of Nunavut’s archival holdings will be removed from the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre website on December 1, 2016.
