Tours
Guided public tours
Take a 45-minute journey through the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre (PWNHC) and explore its galleries as our guides share with you stories, works of art, and culture and heritage objects from across the Northwest Territories.
Tours take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 pm in English and 4 pm in French.
No advance registration is required, and tours are free. Tours begin in the main entrance.
Self-guided audio tours
Enhance your museum experience with our audio guides. Our audio guides allow you to learn about and explore the museum on your own terms. Our easy-to-use devices let you decide what you want to know more about at the touch of a button.
- Poop Tour: Scat, droppings, dung, feces, waste. Get down and dirty on this tour and learn about poop.

Virtual tour
The PWNHC’s virtual tour allow you to take self-guided, room-by-room tours of select permanent galleries and areas within the museum from your computer. Available in English, French, Wıìlıìdeh, Inuvialuktun, Cree, and Gwich’in.
