Traditional Winter Travel
(All grade levels) Put a traditional harness and a modern one on a life-size dog and learn why winter travelling was so impor- tant for the people of the North. Teacher and students guide, photos, books, CDs and DVDs.
Yamoria
(Gr. 3-10) Known by other names in different Dene languages, this legend- ary hero travelled throughout Denendeh. Learn about his travels and teachings using maps, story CDs, replicas, books, student journals, centre activities and more. Teacher’s guide available in English and French.
Treaties 8 and 11 (Gr. 4 to 11)
Activities, videos, archival photos, maps, journal entries and other print materials help tell the story of the signing of Treaties 8 and 11 and their influence on the NWT.
Mooseskin Boat (Gr. 4-10)

Trapping is … (Gr. 3-10)
This Edukit looks at different aspects of trapping as well as the biology and conservation of fur bearing animals. Lots of activities for the students, including real furs to touch.

Fur Trade – Changing Times in the NWT (Gr. 4-10)
