Ice tongs

A pair of metal tongs used to haul large blocks of ice from the Mackenzie River to the Fort Good Hope Nursing Station where the ice was stored in a cork-insulated icehouse. The Fort Good Hope Nursing Station was built in 1955 by the federal government.
