Expo ’86 NWT Pavilion Remembered – Public input needed!

The 1986 World Exposition on Transportation and Communication (Expo ‘86) was a six month World’s Fair held in Vancouver, BC. The NWT pavilion was one of the most popular pavilions – combining film, photos, displays and entertainment, and giving visitors insights into the dramatic effects of transportation and communications on the life and culture of Northern Canadians. This was the first time the NWT showcased itself on the world stage – many residents from across the NWT were involved in its production. Exhibit coordinator Dave Kellet is looking for memories and memorabilia from the NWT pavilion at Expo ’86.

Contact Dave directly (unclebuck@theedge.ca) if you have contributions to make his proposed community exhibit a reality.
