Ria Coleman is a great, great, great granddaughter of legendary NWT Métis patriarch Francois Beaulieu II who shows great, great, great dedication to maintaining her Métis culture!  Ria will be the Traditional Artist in Residence at the PWNHC on July 28, 29 and 30 when she will demonstrate the art of Métis sash weaving.  Presentations from 1:00 to 3:30 each day.

Visit a tanning camp in Downtown Yellowknife on weekdays from 10am to 4pm and Tuesday from 12pm to 7pm through the month of July and learn how we smoke tan moose and caribou hides! Learn how Dene Nahjo is revitalizing this ancient and vital cultural practice. We will be hosting visits daily while creating tools and honing skills under the guidance of Dene elders.
