The 2017 Northwords Festival is taking place throughout Yellowknife, Ndı̨lo and Hay River from June 1 to 4. On Sunday June 4 at 1pm, the Keynote address, “Writing and Reconciliation”, by noted author Tracey Lindbergh, will be held in the PWNHC Auditorium.
The address will address the role of words, writing, and storytelling on the journey to reconciliation. Reconciliation will be explored in the context of Indigenous and non-indigenous Canadians as presented by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, as well as a personal, social and global issue that is relevant to people in communities around the world. Panellists will include Rosanna Deerchild, Leanne Simpson, Hope Nicholson, Paul Andrew, Laurie Sarkadi, Catherine Lafferty, Bassam. Moderated by Richard Van Camp.
