Ice Age Bison Exhibit Opening

June 18, 2015, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Ice Age Bison Exhibit

On exhibit for the first time — a 13,650-year-old steppe bison skull found in Tsiigehtchic, NWT in 2007.

Please join us at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre on Thursday, June 18th at 7pm for the official opening of “Ice Age Bison Discovery: Our Frozen Past and Thawing Future”.  This exhibit highlights ice age fossils and the changing landscape of the North.

Artist Julius T. Csotonyi, who created the striking, realistic illustration of the ancient bison featured in our exhibit, will give a public presentation. Csotonyi will discuss how he incorporates science into his artwork to recreate the Pleistocene era.
